CAREERSWORX4ME

CAREERSWORX4ME® is a suite of workshops specifically designed for young people. The interactive nature of the workshops provides them with an opportunity to explore the world of work and how to prepare for employment.

How does it work?

There are eight workshops with the first two focusing on personality preferences and how this may affect career choices.  The CAREERSWORX4ME® workshops work best if the young person has been through the LIFEWORX4ME® workshops but it is not essential.  Each workshop can be tailored to suit your classroom or time requirements, though the average workshop goes for approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

There are eight workshops with the first workshop being the last from the LIFEWORX4ME® series, Career Development - Exploring Careers of Interest:

Who is it for?

These workshops are best suited to young people in Year 10 – 12 though they can be adapted to suit younger year groups and those who have left school. For example, Year 10 students at Kambalda West District High School have been through the workshops, however these have also been run for TAFE students and students at university level. As a point of interest, these workshops for also run for staff at The University of Western Australia who were looking at redundancy options.
